1. Registering as a Republican entitles you to participate in primary elections and vote to nominate the
candidate of your choice.
2. While most Republicans subscribe
to a small set of basic principles (see about us page), we have a large tent and welcome people of many views to join
the party and express your views.
3. As a part of a larger
group of voters your voice and vote have more weight and influence over issues than you would have as a single independent
voter.
4. In Upper St. Clair, we have an active Republican
Committee which encourages all Republicans to participate, get informed and present ideas and views on national and local issues
of importance to voters.
5. Registration as a Republican does
not prevent you from voting for the candidate of your choice regardless of the party that candidate is affiliated with.
6. Registration costs nothing and you may change your registration at any time.
7. Finally you don't have to change your views to join the party. As a registered Republican you will
belong to a group with the opportunity to advance your ideas and make a difference.
Think about it. Contact your committee representative to discuss further if your wish.
